HISTORIC BEAUFORT FOUNDATION SEEKING NEW VOLUNTEER GREETERS AND DOCENTS FOR

JOHN MARK VERDIER HOUSE MUSEUM

 

BEAUFORT, SC — April 25th, 2022 — Historic Beaufort Foundation is seeking volunteer greeters and docents for the John Mark Verdier House Museum ca.1804, northern Beaufort County’s only historic house museum. If you have a passion and enthusiasm for preservation and Beaufort’s architecture and history, we would love to speak with you!

Volunteer docents at the John Mark Verdier House fulfill the educational mission of Historic Beaufort Foundation by interpreting Beaufort’s architectural and cultural history to visitors. Responsibilities include conducting tours of the Verdier House and sharing information about the property and the people who lived here. Along with the docents, greeters are the welcoming face of the Verdier House and the front door to Beaufort’s residential architecture.
