The Historic Beaufort Foundation is delighted to announce the 2026 Lafayette Soirée, a beloved part of Beaufort’s spring season for nearly 60 years. This annual tradition honors the Marquis de Lafayette’s historic 1825 visit to Beaufort and continues this year in the breathtaking parterre gardens of the George Moss Stoney House, ca. 1823, (altered ca. 1840) as gracious homeowners and hosts Denis and Sandy Wiener welcome the Soirée in support of Historic Beaufort Foundation and our mission to preserve and protect Beaufort’s historic, architectural and cultural heritage.
Join us on The Point for this special evening overlooking the Beaufort River, featuring inspired Lowcountry cuisine and a specially curated silent auction under the oaks along the masterfully designed parterre garden designed by Edward Marchetti of Buds and Blooms. As the sun sets, enjoy spirited dancing to the electrifying music of We Got the Beat. It promises to be a memorable night celebrating Beaufort’s rich history.
